Dining is an important part of life and at Vancrest, we strive to provide the highest possible quality dining experience while ensuring the most nutritional diet possible for each resident.

*Cook Responsibilities include:*
* Reviewing menus prior to preparation of food.
* Inspecting special diet trays to assure they are correct.
* Performing administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc.
, and submitting to the Director of Food Services.
* Coordinating dietary service with other departments as necessary.
* Working with the facility's Dietician, Dietetic Technician and other Supervisors as necessary and implementing recommended changes as required.
* Assuring that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
* Assisting in establishing food service production line, etc.
, to assure that meals are prepared on time.
* Processing diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services and approved by the Director of Food Service.
* Performing dishwashing/cleaning procedures.
Assuring that utensils, etc.
, are readily available for next meal.
* Assisting in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, and other duties as requested
