The Royal Group (TRG) currently has a position open for a General Assembly Associate in Sidney, Ohio.
The General Assembly Associate primary function is to perform various activities associated with the fulfillment and pack out procedures and processes associated with company projects.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
• Read and follow instructions as provided by Assembly & Converting Coordinator.
• Minimize waste of all components (i.
e.
foam, glue, wood).
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Monitor quality, including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size and print.
• Cross train for other job positions as necessary and switch duties as needed.
• Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs; be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
• Work together with crew/team in “assembly line” projects.
• Attend all plant safety meetings.
• Maximize piece-rate speed on tasks assigned.
• Practice safe work habits at all times.
• Adhere to production schedule; make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals.
• Inform Assembly & Converting Coordinator of any needed materials or material running low.
• Ability to move to other shifts to aid in training.
• Complete all necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
• Ability to work overtime as the job requires.
• Accurately report/track assembly information in Amtech (includes correct component consumption in move to FG and accurate time reporting in plant data entry).
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred that employees have prior work experience in the corrugated industry or other 2-4 years’ work experience.
• Basic computer competence and working knowledge of tools.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Ability to apply basic calculations; general high school level math and ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Ability to read and understand manuals, instructions, safety rules, quality standards, etc.
• Ability to apply proper understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and talk or hear.
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must twist and/or use upper body.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception and peripheral vision.
