About the Role:
The position of Payroll Administrative Support is responsible for supporting all aspects of payroll operations for the company, including balancing day to day processing activities while furthering process improvement.
Working with the Payroll Manager to establish strategies for continuous improvements in payroll operations and have a strong desire to leverage technology for efficiency and effectiveness.
Primary Responsibilities You are happy to work Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-2:00pm.
Supports payroll operations and processing to ensure all payrolls are processed timely, accurately, and in compliance with legislative requirements and company policies; mitigate risks and control error rates.
Maintains payroll policies and procedures.
Provides internal customer service by providing assistance to other team members and management regarding payroll, taxes, wage and hour, garnishments and timekeeping processes, procedures.
Support year-end payroll and payroll tax activities, including preparation of W-2 Forms, fringe benefit reporting, year-end reconciliations, and reporting.
You create and maintain reports, deliver routine daily/weekly/monthly reporting according to established company and governmental standards (e.
g.
, monthly payroll accrual, general ledger entry, earnings statements, time-off requests, W-2's, and information tax filings) and responds to basic and intermediate ad hoc data requests.
You process payroll garnishment to ensure compliance and remittance is timely and accurate.
You manage interface files from/to payroll and third-party vendors and oversee source data and develop enhancements.
You assist in validating and auditing mass data changes including but not limited to merit, bonus, and open enrollment.
You assist in company audits including but not limited to Workers Compensation, General Finance, and 401k.
Who you are: 2-3 years of payroll experience preferred.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment while at the same time maintaining data integrity and attention to detail.
Technical knowledge with hands-on experience in ADP, PayClock or similar systems preferred.
Capable of identifying process improvement initiatives Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with team members at all levels of the organization and work effectively as a member of cross functional Human Resources teams.
Demonstrates high energy level and the drive required to proactively support payroll activities within a dynamic business environment.
Ability to ensure confidentiality and protection of employee data based on data privacy legislations.
